Falling behind, catching up (19-22)

Yeah yeah, I'm forever behind. I'm determined to not give up, though. I have the worst habit of falling behind, then giving up. Is why I can't ever do artslam all the way through. So I'm going to try and not give up.

Four pictures, so I'm going under a cut.

Seventeen and eighteen.

If I weren't running late, I don't know what I'd do! Haha.

Yesterday! Rocking the tentacle bandanna again, went to go see Brave. It was pretty cute!

Today. Will it rain? Won't it rain? Who knows!

Over two weeks and I haven't quite gotten the hang of it. Guess I ought to invest in a better camera phone if I'm going to keep this up.

Anyway! Today I went to lay out on the back deck and draw some, because it's been too long. I didn't get much done, because it was quickly abandoned for playing with Asric. Next time!

A bonus picture from yesterday at the park. It was the only picture I managed to take with both him and the park in it. Boo!

Park day!

Took my doggie with me on errands, and then to the park! What fun!

Oops I thought I posted this yesterday! Ah well.

Nothing interesting yesterday, I mostly kept quiet and listened to the's Pokemon marathon! Raising money for ACT Today! Their goal is $50,000!
Also playing pokemon on my 3ds, because it seemed appropriate.

Sunday and Monday: Weekends are Rough.

Sunday was a bad body image day, so pants, even though it was a hundred degrees.

Today I said fuck that. Tank tops, like a boss.

day again.

Tonight the power was off for quite a while, into the night. So since this is supposed to document my life for a year or something, here we go! A webcam photo, because it still had power.

Another evening, another picture.

A change from the usual terrible phone photo, have a terrible webcam picture. I can't wait for guild wars 2.

Today Sister and I went to Springfield! We were going to go to a baseball game, but ended up not doing it. At the mall, I discovered the most ridiculous thing. This is a Red solo cup hot glued to a glass wine stem. I’ve seen the ones that are jars, but this was the first cup one.
This also marks the first day I had someone assist me with the picture, so you get to see more of my person. I make the goofiest faces sometimes.

In the car this time. I hadn't intended it all to be terrible phone pictures, but I am not yet in the habit of bringing the camera with me everywhere. Soon, I hope.

Weekend pictures.

If I -took- them on the right day, it totally counts, right? I say it does. Here's Saturday's. It's that bandanna again, but the other way 'round. And no glasses this time, because why not?

Sunday is a day of rest, so on Sundays I'm going to take a rest from pictures of my ugly mug. This was how most of my weekend was spent. Guild Wars 2 beta weekend! They only come around once a month-ish, so take advantage while I can.

Turns out my beloved laptop falls below minimum specs to play it, so oops that might be why I keep crashing all the time... Ah well, better get saving my pennies for a new one.

Also of note: my festival mug. I can move now, I have a mug from this town!

day four.

Remember when I said I was going to try and look less gross today? Yeah, didn't happen.

I don't look particularly feminine on a good day; I don't think the bandanna helps. Too bad I like it!

Evening of the Third day.

Back again with another shot! More from the ragtime festival, which actually was happening downtown today.

Just a quick cameraphone picgrab while listening to a couple of guys play at a tent by the courthouse. Clearly this was a once-and-go shot, or I might have tried to look less gross. We'll try again tomorrow!

The Festival That Wasn't.

Today was the start of the Scott Joplin Festival! How exciting! I was stoked to go, since this was the first year in a long time that Ma wasn't working the Tea Room, so it was exciting to know that I wasn't going to work, but rather to be a spectator. So I grabbed my sister and we hopped in the car to head downtown.

Our first indicator that something was wrong was the parking lot I pulled into.

Pictured: Goji the car, huddled against the others in the lot for protection.

Now, I knew that the people who'd bought the tearoom from us had closed up shop, but this was a good parking lot! Where were all of the people?

Out at the community college, a brochure informed us. Today everything is out there, they move downtown tomorrow. So we'll have to come back!

But while we were here, neither of us could resist taking a peek into the empty storefront, which is where today's entry is:

Pictured: Some weirdo taking pictures.

...Yeah, turns out it's not empty at all. In a creepy twist, everything is still up.

Look at all those tables, and the still-lit exit sign.

It just looks like they've taken their tablecloths home to wash or something, not closed up forever. Is a little creepy, to be honest.

We made that sign, don'tcha know. I love that divider, is a shame I can't steal it back.

They say they're going to sell the place, furnishings and all, but who knows. Right now it's just another empty building in a downtown full of empty buildings.

Clearing the Cobwebs

Hey guys! I'm back again, clearing away the cobwebs once more. It's been a long time, I know. I've pretty much lost the track of everything. The comic's pretty much dead (or is it... yeesh, I dunno), this place is a ghost town, what's a girl to do?

Make a post, clearly!

I think I've decided to try my hand at one of those picture-a-day-for-a-year deals, starting in June because that's the best time to start, right? Right!

So for today, let's have a picture of yours truly and her beloved canine companion, Asric.

Pictured: my new reddish hair, and my stupid striped scarf that I love. Not pictured: the six pictures where Asric was blurry, or looking the wrong way, or smooching me right in the face.

It's not a -great- picture of me, but hey I'm never going to be particularly happy with anything that's got me in it, but let's try and get over that.

We'll see what I've got for tomorrow!
